Who We Are

Carol Wagar CPA, Certified College Planning Specialist, is the owner of Insight College Solutions, located in Yakima, Washington.

Carol has been a certified public accountant in the state of Washington since 1983 and a certified college planning specialist since 2005. She has extensive business accounting and consulting experience. Carol is a financial literacy presenter for the Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants.  She is a summa cum laude graduate of Washington State University and the Washington State University Honors College. (1980) In addition, she and her husband, Ken Wagar, are the parents of one college graduate (Eric, University of Redlands, 2008), one current college student (Tim, Linfield College, 2011) and Steven, a high school student.

I have personally experienced the stressful college selection, admissions and financial aid process. We went through a lengthy discovery procedure to select schools that have proved to be a good academic, social and financial fit. Both boys chose to participate in intercollegiate athletics. In addition, we were able to send each child to the private college of their choice for the same cost as an in state public university.
